Paul Dempsey is the singer, guitarist and principal songwriter of Australian band, Something for Kate. Dempsey has also always played solo shows and toured solo when not busy with Something for Kate as well as producing records for other artists.

In late 2007 Paul began writing his first solo album. It was recorded for the most part in December of 2008 in a secluded studio in New South Wales with Wayne Connolly (You Am I, Youth Group) on recording duties and then mixed at the start of 2009 in Los Angeles with Doug Boehm (Elliot Smith, French Kicks).

The album, titled Everything Is True is due for release on August 14th throughout Australia.
